The centres Teen Challenge Puerto Rico are designed to help individuals (youth and adults, men and women, to live free of the use of drugs and reintegrate into society. The focus of the Program is interdisciplinary and offers a balance between the bible classes, tasks, and recreation.
We believe in the total recovery of the individual through the intervention of God. We have over 1400 programs in more than 125 countries around the world. The organization is present in Puerto Rico for almost 50 years
In 1965, the Program Teen Challenge was born in Puerto Rico, with its Founder, the Rev. Peter Oliver. The present Teen Challenge of Puerto Rico has an enrollment of over 100 students in 4 different Centers around the Island. Currently the organization is presided over by the Rev. Jose Martinez, President/CEO, who along with his wife, Nelly, future Director of the Center for Ladies, are ministers of the Assemblies of God, those who have received from God a vision clear and precise to expand the ministry and continue to provide the proven solution to the problems that control the lives putting hope within reach of all.

It is estimated that occurred 100 306 overdose deaths in 2020 (more overdose deaths related to fentanyl that all drug overdose deaths in 2016).
